This modification will provide immediate improvement over the original shift rod. With the “Golden Rod” installed, you will have much more precise shifts greatly improving the “vague feel “ of the floppy rubber joint in the original shift rod. The “Golden Rod” bolts on in less than an hour and will transform your 964 or 993’s overall shift feel. Fits 964 C2 & turbo (not 964 C4), all 993 including C4 & turbo.

Fits all 2 wheel drive cars, reduces throw by about 20%. RS lever ratio goes from 4 stock to 3.4:1 RS so gear lever travel goes from +/- 62 mm to +/- 52 mm and the lever is 28 mm taller and moved 10 mm to the right closer to the driver.
